On Thursday 28 January 2016, 6pm-8pm at Birmingham Cathedral

This year Birmingham Cathedral celebrates its tercentenary with the book launch of Dr Terry Slater’s book

‘The Pride of the Place: The Cathedral Church of St Philip, Birmingham 1715-2015’

Entrance to the book launch (with refreshments and a glass of wine) and an accompanying illustrated lecture: ‘Ten Stories from 300 years of St Philips’ History’ by Dr Slater is FREE. Details of the event and booking information can be found on this link:

The Society was founded in 1870 and our first inaugural lecture was held on November 10th of that year. Since the outset, the Society has been affiliated to the Birmingham and Midland Institute.
